Zura Dzuliashvili
I’m Zura Dzuliashvili, originally from Georgia, and currently a senior at the University of Richmond, where I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Economics. My internship experience spans various roles in quantitative research, risk management, equity analysis, trading/structuring and so on. I’ve had the opportunity to intern at Credit Agricole NYC, Barclays Investment Bank NYC, and Thompson, Siegel, and Walmsley. I have also worked internationally. Navigating the finance industry as an international student has had its unique challenges, and I’m always happy to share my experiences—whether it’s insights into quantitative research, tips for interview preparation, or advice on the recruitment process in the U.S.
Sara Scherping
My name is Sara Scherping and I am currently a private equity associate at The Carlyle Group in the US Buyout – Healthcare team in New York. Prior to Carlyle, I spent two years as an investment banking analyst at Barclays in the healthcare coverage group in New York. I graduated from the University of Virginia – McIntire School of Commerce in 2021 with a concentration in finance and management. My family has largely pursued careers in medicine / medical research, so I strayed very far from my family’s traditional path by recruiting for investment banking. However, because of my family background, I have always been innately interested in the healthcare space and I love learning about and investing in healthcare businesses. Please reach out to me to discuss anything related to investment banking, private equity, or healthcare. Additionally, I am extremely passionate about increasing the number of young women professionals in finance, and I would be more than happy to provide any insights or mentorship.
Harsh Shah
My name is Harsh Shah, I am an investment banking analyst at Barclays in the Toronto office. I studied Medical Science during my first two years and Business Administration for my last two at Western University and the Ivey Business School. I found a passion for business through my first part-time job selling Canadian Tire credit cards at their gas stations. Prior to IB, I interned at a tech VC fund. I’m convinced you can achieve anything as long as you believe you are capable of it. Feel free to reach out to me for recruiting advice (I’ll be particularly helpful to those recruiting from a science background) or even if you just want to chat about life!

Prior to my current role, I gained internship experience in asset management, real estate private equity, public finance, and debt capital markets at a variety of different firms. I am happy to speak with you about my different experiences, offer any advice I can, or just be a sounding board for your career decisions / anything at all! Diversity in the workplace can present itself in many different ways and regardless of your background, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or socioeconomic status I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to pursue the careers of their choice. Please do not hesitate to reach out, even if it's just for Nashville bar and food recommendations.
